Ms. Kelly Reilly, Assistant to Dr. Kaplan

Kelly Reilly has always felt a deep desire to help others improve the quality of their lives. Ms. Reilly graduated magna cum laude from New York University where she forged connections between psychology, politics, and cultural and communication studies. After receiving her undergraduate degree, she worked as the intake coordinator and research assistant at The American Institute for Cognitive Therapy (AICT). During this time, she learned an invaluable amount about evidence-based treatment methods from leaders in the field of clinical psychology. Ms. Reilly has volunteered extensively within Latino communities in New York City, Perú, and most recently, rural Guatemala. While there, she taught Spanish to indigenous children who were not able to communicate or integrate with a population that does not speak their local Mayan dialect. Ms. Reilly is currently obtaining her Master of Social Work degree at New York University with the intention of becoming a clinician. She co-facilitates a "Parenting Journey" group and a "Marriage, Couples, and Singles" group in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Ms. Reilly strongly believes in the inherent worth of every human being and is dedicated to working creatively with clients to help them cope with their immediate concerns and to reach their goals, in addition to addressing the underlying societal causes of their unique situations.
